Obituary

Trace Lee Lippmann, 67, passed away in his home in Bolingbrook, IL on January 4th, 2026. He was born January 13th, 1958 in Elmhurst, IL, where he was raised by his loving parents, Lydia and William Lippmann. After attending York High School, Trace joined the United States Army, where he served his country proudly for three years. When he returned home from duty he dedicated the majority of his career to working in construction as a heavy equipment operator until he retired.

Trace was a loving, kind, and generous man with an incredible sense of humor and heart-warming smile. Throughout his lifetime he has had many hobbies, which he would quickly learn and excel at. His most recent interest being woodworking with his sons. Together, they shared their craftsmanship by donating handcrafted wooden American flags and other pieces of art to many organizations, especially those supporting police, fire, and military communities.

Trace is survived by his wife, Lisa Lippmann, and his beloved dog, Simba; his younger brother Gord (Holly) Lippmann; his children, Eric (Italia) Lippmann, Travis (Patricia) Lippmann, Carrie (Shawn) Olson, and Sydnee (Matthew) Saporito; nine grandchildren, Colton (Aldana) and Kasey Lippmann, Simone, Breanna, Lilly, and Erica Lippmann, and Dane, Rylan, and Sophia Olson; and two great-grandchildren, Lia and Eric Lippmann. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Scott Lippmann.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
