Victor M. Gonzalez

Victor Gonzalez passed away peacefully on May 24 at Hinsdale Hospital. Born on June 9, 1947, Victor was a devoted grandfather, father, and uncle, whose warmth, humor, and steady presence brought comfort and joy to those around him.

Victor had a lifelong love for baseball and enjoyed many hours playing pool, with a competitive spirit. He was known for his charisma and his name was known in all the places he went.

He will be remembered for his deep love of his family—including the family dog, Fifi, who rarely left his side. He talked to her every day, and the two shared a special bond that brought him comfort and companionship.

He is survived by his children: Victor Gonzalez, Robert Gonzalez (Lorena), Janet Barajas (Gerardo), Johana Barajas (Max), and Jackie Gonzalez (David). He also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who loved him dearly, as well as his faithful companion Fifi.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.

Victor's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
