William James Luther, age 84, passed away peacefully on July 30, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 17, 1942, William lived a life devoted to his family, friends, and his work. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Luther, with whom he shared many wonderful years.

William was the cherished son of the late Earl and Helen Luther. He was a loving father to James Luther (Rhonda), Joy Noetzel (Robert), and Jennifer Rorke (Daniel). He took great pride in his family and especially enjoyed being a grandfather to Timothy Luther (Sam), Holly Luther, Cody Noetzel, Daniel Rorke, and Katherine Rorke. He was also blessed to be the great-grandfather of Mason Arndt and Patty Luther.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Helen Luther, and his brother, Robert Luther, (wife Karen Luther), Thomas Luther, survived by sister in law, Jackie Luther. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

William was a longtime member of SMART Local 265 and was respected by his fellow members throughout his career.

Those who knew William will remember his warm sense of humor, his kindness, and the love he had for his family. His laughter, wisdom, and presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
