Xia Nicole Young passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 31, 2024. She was 19 years old.

In childhood and adolescence, Xia was very persistent and determined and had an inner joy that shined so brightly. At an early age, we recognized Xia's innate intelligence and so did her teachers. She was put into advanced classes while in school. Xia loved sports and had a chance to play basketball, volleyball, and run track. She also enjoyed reading, drawing, dancing, and singing karaoke. She was an incredibly hard worker who at one point worked two part-time jobs while attending school full-time. She attended Bolingbrook High School, Plainfield South High School and Plainfield Academy High School.

Xia was such a sweet, loving, caring person who was so full of compassion and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. She was the kind of young woman that anyone would be proud to call daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend.

Xia is survived by her son Xian; mother LuShonda; grandmother Gretchen; four brothers, Nicholas, Xavier, Brian, and Jonathan; two sisters, Nicole and Bria; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, Michael.

A memorial will be held for her on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 530 W. Boughton Road, Bolingbrook, IL.
